  What TV Show(s) Do You Just Love?

  i regularly watch family feud.. homeland is a great show i watch every week, when it's in season.. metv has so many great programs---from taxi to the twilight zone.. what do you like watching?

  My mother is losing her old personality

  i have been trying to engage and talk to my mother and her "natural" personality as much as possible.

  she has obvious concerns about the jw's, and we do discuss issues almost every time she visits.

  we didn't see her for long stretches (months at at time, and suddenly a year had gone by...) we have now both committed to a minimum of a monthly visit, and we will work toward more.

  " Love ya, and would never avoid you…….I love you and always will ; Mom " .........Those are the words you should be focused on ,you are reading too much into her introduction .You said it yourself she has a dry sense of sarcasm .

  Your mom is in your life ,and actively associating with you ...count your blessings .

  i was just thinking randomly.

  why/how are sexual desires really that much of a sin??.

  sexual energy is one of the highest forms of energies known, why would god put this strong desire in us only to have us repress it through his"word the bible"??.

  I just signed a petition to change our city ordinance to allow keeping chickens in city limits . I hope it passes ,it is something I have wanted to do for a long time !

  Have You Been Invited To The Memorial?

  one of my best friend's, who is an ex elder had two elders visit him at his home yesterday to invite him to the memorial.

  he was cordial to them because they were'nt over the top.. so far, i have had no invites, thank god..

  What I said to my wife

  all - so my wife told me she was going to the kh yesrterday.

  it has been a couple of months so i was a bit disappointed but i sucked it in.

  i thought about it for a while and when we had a quiet moment together i said to her: "i know you need to make an appearance every once in a while to avoid the risk of being asked to da yourself and being shunned.

  First post after a year or two of lurking on this site-Sorry for the length!

  not sure of the point of telling my story, but just got off the phone with my grandma and i am so angry, stressed and i don't know what else...i guess i just wanted to hear from someone other than my husband that i'm not crazy for my reaction to family interaction.. my condensed story gramatical errors and all :).

  father was a born in jw, mother was a convert.

  i was born the last of 3 siblings and shortly after my birth in 1981 my parents divorced.

  Welcome pattytheperfect1 ! I am so sorry for what you had to endure through your childhood . You are a strong person ,a survivor . I hope the forum will be a healing place for you to vent and recover . You are not alone ,your story or something very close to it is often repeated by other WT survivors . We now all gain strength from one another ,and our shared experiences .

  Watched 3 season of game of thrones - I want those 25+ hours of my life back

  this is the worst series i've ever watched in my life.

  whenever things are starting to get smooth and good characters seem to gain advantage, the writers just kill them.

  i've wasted 25+ hours of my life watching how the writers make the bad win over the good.. they make you continue watching by planting the seed in your head that "just a few more episodes and everything is gonna be all right", but no, painful death comes upon anyone who is not cruel and perfidious enaugh.
